Ideas on the protection of the human rights

First, respecting the rights of others in each of our daily activities, and when we develop social, economic and environmental projects to improve the quality of life for all.
Second, participating in all spheres of social and political life, and especially exercising participation rights that we have from Colombia's new constitution, which defined our participatory democracy. According beyond, elected to public office they are under direct control of citizens, and they are not limited to voting time to time but have a direct interference in the decision, execution and control of state management at various levels of government and generally in all decisions affecting them in the economic, political, administrative and cultural life of the nation (art. 2 of the Constitution). In the social sphere, we have the right to participate:

- In the local administrative bodies through which you can participate in the design of municipal development plans, monitor the provision of public services, and to develop and monitor the implementation of investment proposals (Article 318 Constitution.).

- In the management and control of utilities (Art. 369 C.N.)

- In education and health, and community participation in the management of health services (Article 49 C.N..) And in the direction of educational institutions (art 68 C.N..).

- The protection of collective rights, such as users and consumers organized to intervene in the study of the provisions governing the control of the quality of goods and services offered to communities (section 78 CN.), Or to help take decisions to guarantee an average ambient sane (art. 79 CN)

In the political sphere, we are entitled to take part in the establishment, exercise and control of political power (Article 40 C.N..), Through the following mechanisms:

- The vote, by which we can elect and be elected to public corporations such as local boards, municipal councils, departmental assemblies, congress, mayors and governors, presidency and vice-presidency of the republic.

- The plebiscite, or consult citizens on decisions of national importance (art.104 C.N.), or the acceptance of a policy of the ruling.

-The Referendum, which allows us to express our agreement or disagreement with legislative acts, and is intended to repeal a law (art. 170 NC), approve or not the establishment of various departments as a regional territorial entity (articles 306 and 307 CN) , amend the Constitution to convene a national constituent Assembly, or approve a constitutional amendment (arts.374, 376, 377 and 378 CN).

- The popular consultation, convened two governors or mayors, by which the inhabitants of a department or municipality can decide on matters of exclusive interest to those entities or their income to a province or metropolitan area (Articles 105 and 321 C.N..)
